Legal Obligations A NSW boxer is not permitted to compete in any boxing tournament anywhere unless Boxing NSW sanctions it. Breach of this rule may result in your de-registration. To compete interstate you must get a clearance from the Boxing NSW Secretary in advance. It is an offence under NSW law for an unregistered boxer to take part in a public boxing tournament or exhibition. It is also an offence to conduct a tournament that does not have a permit from Boxing NSW and the NSW Department of Sport and Recreation. By following these rules you as a boxer will be able at all times nominate and participate in all AIBA pathway events such as Commonwealth and Olympic Games World Youth and Elite titles for bothwoman and men. Boxing Australia/NSW is the only body able to offer you this opportunity here in Australia.
